York Antiquarian Book Seminar

I was very lucky recently to receive the PBFA scholarship so that I could attend the York Antiquarian Book Seminar (YABS) this year. The brainchild of Anthony Smithson from Keel Row Books, YABS has been running for four years now and comprises of three days of lectures on antiquarian books, with the onus being on selling.

It was really fascinating to learn the different journey's people have taken into the book trade and the different methods employed by them in the pursuit of selling books. There were a wide variety of people attending from all sorts of different backgrounds. The one thing that joined us together was our love of books.

If anyone is thinking of attending next year and would like to chat to an alumni regarding it please feel free to message me.
